How to Replace Acrylic on Tanning Beds
Whether you own a salon that provides a tanning service or you have a tanning bed in your home for personal use, routine maintenance is needed to ensure the tanning beds are at optimum performance. Acrylics should be cleaned at least once a month because a tanning bed could lose effectiveness if left dirty. Should you notice a crack in the acrylic, it needs to be replaced. Instructions

1
Locate the hinged profiles of the tanning bed. These profiles run the length of the tanning bed, in the front and the back. They hold the acrylic shield into place.
-
2
Pry up on the inside edge of the profile by pulling from the middle. Carefully do this until the latching action is released. The entire length of the profile must be pried away until it freely swings back. Use caution, as the edges of the acrylic shield may be sharp.
-
3
Repeat the above steps for the second profile.
-
4
Stand in front of the tanning bed and grab the long exposed edge of the acrylic. Slide the acrylic toward you until it is completely removed.
-
5
Align the new acrylic shield with the ends of the profile and carefully slide into place.
-
6
Push the hinge of the profile back into place until it snaps tight and completely closes.
