      Visit the website free-timeline.com to start making your free timeline.

      Sign up for a free account by clicking on the button that says "Sign Up." Type in a user name and password of your choice.

      Click on "Add event" on the left side of the timeline that runs across the screen.

      Type in the proper information under "Label," followed by "Start Date" and "End Date." For example, a "Label" might read "World War II." You would thus enter "9/1/1939" in the "Start Date" and "4/29/1945" in the "End Date." This is all the information you need for the first event you want to show up on the timeline.
