How to Get Map Quest Results in Miles

Map Quest is a commonly-used website for anyone looking for a location or directions. Results are customizable by the user; using Map Quest allows you to find the quickest way to your destination, the shortest distance, and even provides estimates of how long the trip will take. Determining Map Quest results in miles only takes a second because the site does all the work for you.

Instructions

1. Open your preferred Internet browser and go to Map Quest.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Settings."

3. Click the "Edit" button in the General Settings section of the My Settings page. Make sure the circle next to miles in the Distance Unit section is filled in by clicking it. Then click the "Save" button.

4. Click the "Directions" tab at the top of the page.

5. Type in your starting point and destination in the "Start" and "End" sections, respectively. Enter as much information as possible for more accurate results. You need information such as place name, street, city, state and zip code. Click "Get Directions" when finished.

6. Find the "Total Travel Estimate" section. This is near the top of the page where your locations are listed as A and B. The distance is now listed in miles next to the estimated time for the trip.
