1
Cut two pieces from the fleece measuring 2 feet by 1 foot. Fold the top edge of one piece down one inch. Sew this hem in place, creating a tunnel in the fabric at least a half-inch wide. Trim the excess fabric from the hem. Do the same with the other piece.
-
2
Lay one piece of the fleece over the other so that the unfinished side of each hem you made is on the outside. Sew the two pieces together along the bottom edge. Open up the two attached pieces of fabric and lay them flat, so that the unfinished side of the seam is facing down.

3
Cut two strips of fleece measuring 1 inch by 4 inches. Fold each strip in half and place one just above the bottom hem on each side of the fabric. The loose ends should stick out a little with the loops facing the interior of the bag. Pin them in place and fold the larger pieces of fabric back in half at the bottom seam.
-
4
Sew along both sides, fixing the fleece loops in place and stopping just before you reach the hem you created at the top. Take care to leave the tunnels created by the top hems open.
-
5
Turn the bag right-side out. Now the unfinished sides of your seams should be facing the interior of the bag, and at the bottom of the bag you should have two exposed loops of fleece, one on each side.
-
6
Thread a 2-foot length of cording through each fabric tunnel at the top of the bag. Tie the ends of each piece of cord through the fleece loop at the bottom of the corresponding side of the bag.
-
7
Pull the cords to cinch the bag closed, and use them as backpack straps for easy carrying.
