How to Send Music From My Mac to My Blackberry

In the past, the BlackBerry and the Macintosh seemed to from two different worlds. Owners once in love with each system quickly left the honeymoon phase as the frustration grew out of lack of compatibility. Research In Motion (RIM) finally came to the rescue. With the release of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for the Mac, RIM made it quite easy to sync not only your contacts and calendars, but your music collection as well.

      Open iTunes.

      Organize the music you want transferred to your BlackBerry into a playlist. Select "File" and then "New Playlist" to create a new playlist and drag music from your library onto the playlist in iTunes sidebar.

      Download and install the BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac from the BlackBerry website.

      Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager located in the Applications folder.

      Select the "Music" option within the "Media" pane on the left hand side of the application.

      Select "Selected Playlists" to choose the playlist you set up in Step 2. Select the "Add Random Music to Free Space" check box to fill the additional space with a random selection of music from your iTunes library.

      Select "Sync" to transfer the songs to the device. Disconnect the device once the sync completes.
