How to Prepare for a Successful Interview
Never fly by the seat of your pants when embarking on a job interview. Going to the interview without knowing something about the company and the position can sink your chances of getting a job. Spend at least a week before the interview thinking of how you want to answer questions and researching the company.

1
Get your interview outfit ready. Plan to wear a nice suit, tie, belt and polished shoes if you're a man. Wear a watch too to show your commitment to being on time. If you're a woman, wear a skirt suit, a nicely pressed button down shirt, a great pair of conservative, low high heels and nude hosiery. Be well groomed, take a shower and brush your teeth.
-
2
Research the company. Know what the company is about and understand their products and services. Know about any honors or commendations they've received.
Take notes on the information you read and refer to your notes during the interview. Don't walk into the interview knowing nothing about the company or organization. You can refer to this during the interview. Use social media sources such as FaceBook and LinkedIn to get the pulse on the company. -
-
3
Practice interviewing. Learn about the most common interview questions and prepare your answers to those questions. Have a mock interview with a friend to rehearse what you'd like to say.
-
4
Find out where the interview is going to be. Get an address and drive by the site a couple of days in advance so you'll know where you're going. Confirm the name of the person who will be interviewing you.
