You have a favorite song that you never get tired of listening to. Why not turn a portion of that song into your Nexus One's ringtone? The Nexus One is a smartphone that allows user customization to many features, including your ringtones.

      Connect the Nexus One to your desktop/laptop computer (where your audio files are stored) using its USB cable.

      Open the Notifications Panel by sliding it down from the top of the Nexus One's screen. Then select the "USB Connected" option and choose "Mount."

      View the drive/folder for your phone on your computer. For housekeeping purposes, create a new folder on your phone to house all of your audio files (e.g., "sound," "music," "ringtones," etc.).

      Copy all of your ringtone files from your computer to the phone's new directory.

      Open up the Notification Panel again and select "Turn Off USB Storage" and choose "Turn Off."

      Go to the Music app and select the file you would like to use as a ringtone by holding with your finger and selecting "Use as Phone Ringtone."
