The ability to add clip art to any document is one of the reasons that Microsoft Word continues to be one of the most popular word processors available. However, sometimes after you get the clip art onto the page, it doesn't look quite right and you want to remove it. Luckily, there's an easy way to delete it.
Go to the page with the clip art you want to remove. Move the cursor directly above the picture and click on it. A slight border should surround the art, alerting you that it has been selected.
On your keyboard, press the "Backspace" key. This should immediately delete the art from your document. However, it has also removed the space where the art used to be, so make sure the file looks satisfactory before you save it. When done, save your progress.
If you want to insert another piece of clip art where the previous one was, press the "Insert" button on the main toolbar. Scroll down to "Picture" and select "Clip Art." Select the picture you want in the menu, click on it, and press "Insert."
