How to Convert an MSG File
An MSG file is created when you save a message you receive in Microsoft Outlook. You can easily open the MSG file while using Outlook but most other programs do not recognize the MSG file format. If you want to open the file in a different program you need to convert the file to a different format. This format can vary between EML (email file) and PDF.

Open your Internet browser and navigate to Nsftopst.com or Psttonsf.com. These are two different sites that provide MSG converter downloads.

Download and install the software provided on the sites. These demos are only good for a few weeks. Once the demo is over you need to purchase the full software if you want to continue using the program.

Launch the software and click "Add MSG File." A search window loads. Look for your specific file and click "OK."

Select the format you want to convert the file into. Click the format output location and select where you want the file placed after the conversion.
