How to Delete Language Support on Blackberry

You don't need the language packs for the languages you don't speak on your BlackBerry. Fortunately, they can be removed from the phone. This will free up space for more media, games and other applications. You have the option to run the "Set-Up Wizard" to remove the languages, but going through the "Options" list is easier. You do not have to go through the other steps that the "Set-Up Wizard" makes you take.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the BlackBerry button on the BlackBerry keyboard to access the main menu of applications.

    • 2

Scroll to and select "Options" using the trackball.

    • 3

Select "Advanced Options" from the list.

    • 4

      Select "Applications."

    • 5

Choose and delete the languages you want to remove. Highlight the language, press the BlackBerry button and select "Delete." Confirm that you want to delete the application.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also remove languages by using the "Desktop Manager," but by using the "Options" right on the phone, you avoid having to connect the phone to a computer.
