Instructions

    • 1

Open the graphics software and open a new background layer with dimensions of 4.25 inches by 10 inches.

    • 2

Add a background color of your choice to the layer. Make the background white or a different color of your choosing.

    • 3

Select a photograph to add to the front of the note card. Use a photograph of your own (family, pets or vacation photos) or use a stock photo that you have purchased the rights to use. Open this photo and add it as a new layer to the background layer. Position the photo on the right half of the background layer in a position that you find visually pleasing.

    • 4

Add text to the front of the note card. Select a font, a font size and a font color. Add a cute phrase or a greeting that you like. Position the text on the right half of the background layer in a place that complements the photograph.

    • 5

Check the card to make sure you like it and then merge all of the layers together. Save the card onto your hard drive by naming it.

    • 6

Print the card out onto card stock. You should be able to fit two note cards on each sheet of card stock.

    • 7

Cut the cards apart after printing. Fold the cards in half and use the bone folder to crease the center fold well.

    • 8

Write a short note on the inside of a card and insert it into one of the envelopes. Mail the note card.
