How to Finance an LCD TV

LCD televisions are often expensive, with the larger models running well in excess of a few thousand dollars. If you want a new LCD TV but don't have enough money to purchase the set of your dreams just yet, it is possible to finance the TV via the retailer. When you finance the TV you are placed on a payment plain in which you pay interest every month.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the model you want to finance. Many television retailers have a sign next to the TV stating how much you will pay per month if you decide to finance.

    • 2

Tell a customer service representative you want to finance the television. The individual can either help you directly or send you to the customer service department.

    • 3

Fill out the finance form. This form asks you for your Social Security number, address and possibly how much you earn during a typical year.

    • 4

Wait for the company to run a credit check. This process determines if you will obtain your financing and if you have to make a down payment.

    • 5

Accept the financing the store presents you and sign the paperwork. You are given information regarding when your monthly payments are due. You are free to take your new LCD TV home with you.

Tips & Warnings

  • Depending on what the store constitutes as a low credit score, you may be asked to provide a down payment for the LCD TV. This can be upwards of a few hundred dollars.

  • Look for sales in which you can finance a TV without interest, provided you pay off the balance in a specified number of months.
