How to Use Electric Branding Irons

More commonly associated with cowboys, modern branding irons have many more applications than those in the days of cattle drives. Electric branding irons can burn a design into leather or wood for artwork, into a steak for a unique touch or into the side of a cow for identification. Using electric branding irons requires much less effort than non-electric versions. Have an electric outlet nearby your items for branding, because using an extension cord could prevent the iron from reaching the appropriate temperature to create a brand.
