Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the laptop is turned off.

    • 2

Disconnect any power cables connected to the laptop.

    • 3

Lie the laptop face down and remove the battery.

    • 4

Take your screwdriver and release the back cover that holds the RAM slots. You will see a little marking like a microchip or an "M" with another leg. This indicates that the RAM is located near this.

    • 5

Remove the cover by placing a finger along the only part (usually near the top) that is big enough for a fingernail to get under. Lift up when you find it.

    • 6

Determine if you have an open memory slot by observing your installed memory and and seeing if anything is open.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remove your battery before removing any sticks of RAM.
