How to Reformat a Floppy Disc
The Windows operating system has a built-in utility that lets you easily reformat a floppy disk. Formatting will recreate the file system on the floppy disk. The standard 3.5-inch floppy disk only supports the FAT file system. Be sure the floppy disk does not contain any important files, because reformatting it will delete everything on it.
