Lead Your Family According to Biblical Guidelines
-
1
Pray for your wife and children constantly. This is important because as the leader of your home you want God's protection and wisdom for you and your family. While praying, also confess any known sins to God and seek forgiveness.
-
2
Treat your wife with unconditional love and respect. As the spiritual head of the household, you are to view your wife as your helper and your best friend. For example, don't be condescending in your voice when asking her to do something for you.

3
Discipline your children when they misbehave. In Proverbs 29:15, it says that the rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother. Don't degrade your children during discipline, but lovingly tell them why you had to discipline them.
-
4
Study the Bible with your wife and children. This helps you understand God's requirements so that you can live the way He wants you to live as a family.
-
5
Provide for the household financially, and be wise with how you spend your income. Be sure to put part of your paycheck in an emergency savings fund and spend less than you earn.

Tips & Warnings
It is also important to attend church regularly with your family. This allows you to establish quality friendships with fellow Christian families, and it is a place where you can worship God as a family.
Avoid pride in your life because when you start to see yourself as more spiritual than those in your household, you become blinded to your own shortcomings. Pray that God will keep you humble and dependent on Him.
