How to Connect an HDMI to a DVI for an XBox 360

As a seventh-generation gaming console, Microsoft's Xbox 360 is capable of delivering a variety of high-resolution signals and comes with an HDMI outlet. While most high-definition TVs have a port for HDMI, there are rare occurrences when the only port available is a DVI port. Fortunately, with the right equipment, anyone can convert an HDMI signal to DVI and hook their Xbox 360 up to a DVI input.

Things You'll Need

• Xbox 360
• HDMI-to-DVI cable

Instructions

1. Connect the HDMI end of the HDMI-to-DVI cable to your Xbox 360.

2. Connect the DVI end of the cable to your television's DVI port.

3. Turn on your television and press the television's "Input" or "Video" button until you reach the DVI channel.

4. Turn on your Xbox 360. You should see your Xbox 360's signal on your television.
