Instructions

    • 1

Create patterns you would like to use for the wine bottle holder shelves. Prepare the wood by tracking the patterns you created onto each of the six shelving pieces of wood you have chosen for your wine bottle holders. You will have three rows with two pieces of wood parallel to each other.

    • 2

Use a jigsaw to cut all edges of the desired pattern onto each of the shelves.

    • 3

Use sandpaper to sand down the edges of all cuts you made until they're smooth. Repeat this for each of the six pieces of 23 inches x 2.5 inches x 1 inch wood.

    • 4

Use your pencil to mark the desired positions for each of the racks on the two end panels. Space each of the racks about 8 inches apart. Position the top of the upper rack just below the upper edge of the end panel. Ensure that the racks are flush with each of the edges of the end panels.

    • 5

Use your pencil to make a mark where you will drill on each of the end panels and the ends of each the racks. Pre-drill screw holes through each of the end panels. You may need to use a vise or clamp to assist you with holding the panels and racks in place each time you drill. Pre-drill holes for the racks as well.

    • 6

Use the screwdriver (or a screw gun) to screw each of the racks into each of the end panels, one after the other. Ensure that each rack is flush against the end panels.

    • 7

Sand down all of the outer wood until you have a smooth, clean surface. Apply a coat of stain (or paint), let it dry and then apply a second coat. Use primer if you will paint your creation. Let the stain or paint dry for at least 24 hours before using your new wood wine bottle holder.
