How to Open a Dell Latitude Laptop
Dell offers many versions of the Latitude, including a tablet and netbooks. The Essential and Mainstream versions of Latitude are the laptops. Latitude Essential is marketed towards professionals using it as a work computer. Latitude Mainstream is for every day laptop use. A lot of laptops open simply by just lifting the top half. If you try to do that with a Latitude laptop, you may get stuck.

Face the laptop towards you. This is with the hinge part of the laptop away from you, and the two separated portions of the laptop in front of you.

Press and hold, with one hand, the large, black button on the center, bottom half of the laptop.

With your other hand, lift the top half of the laptop open.
