      Open your browser, enter the link to the online change of address form for the USPS (See Resources).

      Read the "Note" and the "Privacy Act Statement"--you must scroll through the statement or the next step will not work.

      Click the "I understand the statements above" orange button to begin the process.

      Choose either permanent or temporary change of address, enter the date to begin and end if temporary, forwarding your mail, click "Continue."

      Complete the information at each screen, selecting the options that apply to your change of address and inserting your information as requested.

Tips & Warnings

  • You will receive an immediate email verification, and then in seven to 10 days a confirmation letter will arrive in the mail. The USPS uses your credit or debit card to verify your address with the bank that issued your card and will be charged a $1 verification fee. Your information is secure and safe, however, you do have the option to print the online change of address form and mail or drop it off at your local post office.
