How to Make a Facial With Apple Cider Vinegar

In most people skin cells do not flake off properly, which slows new skin growth and results in uneven, aged, tired skin. Raw, organic apple cider vinegar, has many internal and external health benefits, including as an excellent skin exfoliant.

Things You'll Need

  • Raw, organic apple cider vinegar
  • Thin cloth
  • Wash cloth
  • Thin towel
  • Course towel or loofah pad
  • Pan
  • Wash your skin in warm water. If you must use soap try using one that is mild and vegetable-based.

  • Heat water in a pan until lukewarm, then saturate a wash cloth with the heated water. Ring water out. Heat some 1 cup of water in a pan with 2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar and soak a thin cloth in the mixture. Ring out.

  • Apply the hot water cloth to your face for three minutes, then remove.

  • Apply the raw apple cider vinegar/water cloth to your face. Cover the apple cider vinegar cloth with a towel wrung out in hot water. Lie down for 10 minutes, preferably with legs elevated. This brings more blood to the face, which helps rejuvenate skin cells.

  • Remove both cloths. Gently rub skin upward with a loofah or coarse towel. Repeat weekly or as needed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you are using raw, organic apple cider vinegar that contains powerful enzymes called "the mother." Apple cider vinegar that does not contain "the mother" has been stripped of these nutrients and provides few to no health benefits.
