How to Put iTunes Music on a Verizon Phone

Many Verizon phones have integrated music players that allow you to listen to digital music files. The preferred music store for Verizon phones is VCast Music. However, if you have iTunes songs on your iPod or computer, you can play your songs on your Verizon phone. However, you may need to convert the files and transfer them to your phone.

Things You'll Need

  • Verizon phone
  • MicroSD card
  • ITunes
  • Insert a microSD card into your Verizon phone. Navigate to "Memory" and choose the "Card Memory" menu. Choose "Options" and select "Format."

  • Remove the card from the phone and insert it into your computer or a card reader connected to your computer.

  • Open iTunes. Open the "Preferences" menu and click "Import Settings." Choose "MP3 Encoder" in the "Import Using" drop-down menu. Choose "Higher Quality" under settings. Click "OK."

  • Highlight the songs you wish to convert. Right-click and choose "Create MP3 Version."

  • Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder where your iTunes music library is located. Locate your MP3 files and highlight them and press "CTRL-C."

  • Navigate to the "my_music" folder on your microSD card. Press "CTRL-V." Your files will be copied onto your microSD card.

  • Remove the microSD card from your computer and insert it into your phone. Your songs will now appear in your Verizon phone's music player.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are not sure where your iTunes library is located, right-click a file and choose "Get Info." It's location will be listed under "Where."
