How to Convert Songs From Windows Media Player to iTunes

You can transfer songs from Windows Media Player to iTunes in order to play them on an iPod. To do so, iTunes converts WMA files from Windows Media Player to MP3 files for iTunes.

      Open iTunes. In the toolbar at the top of the program, click "File" and select "Add Folder to LIbrary."

      A new window will appear, displaying all the folders on your computer. Select the "My Music" folder. Press "Okay."

      A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you'd like to convert WMA (Windows Media Audio files) to the MP3 format for iTunes. Press the "Convert" button. Wait for iTunes to search through your "My Music" folder and determine which files need to be converted and added to iTunes.
