How to Troubleshoot the Connection of a Logitech Travel Mouse

Laptop computers have become a more popular computer choice for people who want to have their computer with them when they are away from home.       Pull the wireless receiver out of the USB port on your computer and plug it back in. You may need to try a different USB port, in case the one you are using is inoperable.

      Turn the Logitech mouse over so the bottom is facing up. Slide the battery cover off of the mouse and remove the old batteries. Install the replacement batteries, and place the battery cover back on the mouse.

      Switch to a different wireless channel by pressing and holding the "Power" button on the mouse for approximately 5 seconds. You may be experiencing interference on your current wireless channel.

      Open the reconnection utility software by opening "My Computer" and choosing "Local Disk > Programs > Logitech > Mouse and Keyboard > Reconnection Utility." The software will attempt to reconnect the mouse with the wireless receiver.

Tips & Warnings

  • In order to use the Reconnection Utility, you must install the mouse software. Place the installation disc that came with your device into your computer's CD-ROM drive and follow the onscreen instructions.
