Make a mixture by boiling 6 cups of water and pouring in 1 cup of salt, allow it to cool to warm and add in 1 cup of washing soda, which can be found in the laundry department at any general store. Soak your shirt in this mixture for two to three days.

After a few days, remove shirt from mixture and squeeze out any excess moisture until it is damp and not dripping mixture. Then take your piece of sand paper and rub it lightly in swift circular motions over the shirt, but not over the iron-on transfer. It's important to not rub the iron-on transfer at all with your sand paper, as this could damage it.

If the shirt isn't to your liking yet, try repeating these steps one or two more times. Don't do the process more then a few times, as you don't want to ruin the fabric of the shirt.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't want to do the process of soaking for a few days over again, try throwing a few cups of salt into the washer with the shirt.
