If you use Comcast to obtain your television programming, you most likely use a cable box. The Comcast receiver box unscrambles signals for higher tier programming and allows you to watch content other individuals without a receiver box can't. However, in order to enjoy the full spectrum of your programming, you need to know how to adjust the channel on your receiver.
Things You'll Need
- Comcast service
- Comcast receiver box
Power on the television and the Comcast receiver box. (A power button on either the Comcast remote or receiver powers on the device.)
Press the channel up and down buttons on the Comcast receiver box to adjust the station one at a time. The same is accomplished with the remote control by pushing the channel up and down buttons on the side of the remote.
Push the "Guide" button on the remote control. This displays the current programming on Comcast.
Press the "Page Up" or "Page Down" button to adjust the view for the television listings. Once you find a show you want to watch use the directional arrow buttons to navigate to the show you want to watch, then push "Select."
