Kenmore washers are a Sears brand. They include top loaders and front loaders. Kenmore also has an extensive line of commercial washers. Instructions

    • 1

Check the display for error code "F02." F02 indicates problems with the draining.

    • 2

Check that the drain hose end isn't too high. The drain hose end should be approximately waist height to drain properly and allow the machine to spin. If the end is too high, gravity will stop the water from draining.

    • 3

Check that the drain hose isn't kinked.

    • 4

Check the Suds Routine, which shouldn't run on the front-loader models. The Suds Routine detects excessive suds and removes them. This ensures the garments are properly rinsed. Check the display for the "Suds" indicator. The machine will spin again when the Suds Routine is completed. Use high-efficiency washing powder to avoid excessive suds in the future.

Balance the load properly. Washing just one item, or washing a load that includes a bulky item, can cause an imbalance that will stop the spinning. Add more items or re-distribute the load.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you're not running the machine off an extension cord. The spin cycle needs a lot of current, and most household extension cords can't provide the required current. If you must use an extension cord, buy a heavy-duty one.

  • If you are unable to determine why the washer won't spin, call an electrician to check whether the power from the household outlet is adequate for the machine.
