How to Decorate an Apple School Project
Depending on the medium used for the project, many highly recognizable pieces and parts of an apple can be incorporated into the school project. The majority of the supplies can be found within the apples themselves, from your backyard or in your craft drawer. Be sure if using parts of the apple, like seeds, or items from nature, like twigs and leaves, that you prepare the decorations as close to the presentation as possible to prevent wilting.

1
Core an apple and extract all the seeds. Paste the seeds on or around the project in designs, formations, or scattered. If desired, position the seeds in the shape of an apple if you are gluing to a flat surface, like a poster board.

2
Collect some green leaves from outside. Apples often grow with small leaves attached to their stems. For decorating purposes, most leaves will work, they do not necessarily need to be plucked from an apple tree. If using a poster board for the project, glue the leaves to the poster. If there is lettering, choose long, tall letters like "I" or "T" and glue the leaves to the outside of the letters as if they were stems.

3
Gather cotton balls, beads or buttons. Apples are often depicted as having a worm happily munching on them, or with a worm poking his head out from inside. Incorporate this into the project by gluing the beads or balls in a squiggly line on the project in the shape of a worm. If using cotton balls, paint them prior to gluing either green or brown.

4
Color some scenery onto the project medium, if applicable. An extra burst of color can help spruce up the project and make it more visually appealing. Consider drawing, fields of apple trees, or things crucial to an apple's survival, sunlight and water.
