How to Write Effective SEO Content
Search engine optimization, or SEO, is the practice of configuring your website so it is easily found by search engines. The more search engine optimized your website is, the easier it is to find and the more traffic it will receive. Some SEO factors are beyond your control, such as the number of other sites that link to you. Create quality content to encourage others to link to your site, and use SEO writing techniques for even better optimization.

1
Use phrases to represent your topic to mimic different search queries. For example, if your website is about dog food and your copy contains nothing other than the term "premium dog food," your site will be missed by searchers who type phrases such as "excellent dog food" or "the best food for my dog." Refer to your topic with different word combinations.

2
Incorporate questions into your text. Often searchers type their queries in the form of a question: "What is the best food for my dog?" Use questions as post or article titles, as well as in the body of your text. Open a search engine, imagine you are a prospective customer and type in your search query. Incorporate your search phrase into your website text.

Add specific text to avoid being generic. If your keywords are "dog food," your website could end up buried on the 10th page of search results. However, if you provide more detail, such as "organic raw meat dog food," you are likely to be found by more searchers.

Tips & Warnings
Balance reader-friendly writing with writing that is also search engine optimized. If your copy is too boring to keep your reader's attention, it doesn't matter how easy it was for the search engine to find.
Do not overuse keywords, because search engines will see this as spamming and reduce your page rank.
