How to Hook Up Aiwa Speakers to a TV

Save

Audio from a television is usually sufficient when watching programs in your bedroom or an office. You can enhance the sound by connecting a pair of Aiwa speakers to the television. However, you will first need to find a way to provide power to the speakers. This can be done by connecting the speakers to a powered subwoofer speaker system, such as the Aiwa TS-W75.

Things You'll Need

  • Aiwa TS-W75 powered subwoofer speaker system
  • Single RCA mono audio cable
  • Plug one end of an RCA mono audio cable from the audio output of the TV to the audio input on the Aiwa TS-W75.

  • Connect your Aiwa speakers to the subwoofer. Press the red tab on the back of the subwoofer for the left speaker and insert one of the speaker wires. You will then need to press the black tab and insert the other speaker wire.

  • Repeat the previous step for the right speaker.

  • Plug the subwoofer into a wall outlet and press the “Standby/On” button to turn the unit on.

  • Turn on the TV and use the volume control on the subwoofer to test the audio.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your TV does not have a mono audio output use a stereo to mono RCA cable.
