How to Create a Perspective Box in Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is one of the premier graphics programs in the world, in part due to its wide array of powerful and sophisticated tools and functions. But often it is possible to create surprisingly impressive results using very basic techniques in Photoshop. For example, to create a box in Photoshop that gives an illusion of perspective requires little more than the tools in the toolbar.

1
Open Photoshop. Select "File" and click "New." In the new document dialog that opens enter the numbers for the pixel width and height. Make the resolution 72 pixels if the image will be going on the Internet, but make it 300 if it will be printed. If you want to place the box against a background make the background "Transparent." click "OK." Create a new layer.

2
Select the "Rectangular Shape" tool. In the options at the top set it "Fill" and select a color. Use the tool to draw in a rectangle that is roughly the size of one side of your box.

3
Select "Edit" from the menu, click "Transform" and click "Skew." Use the "handles" at the edge of the shape to distort it so that the side looks as though it is being viewed from an angle. The top and bottom edges should seam to meet at an imaginary vanishing point.

4
Create a new layer. Repeat steps 2-3 to create the other side of the box, using a slightly different color for the fill and positioning the skewed left side so it fits perfectly against the right side of the other shape.

5
Create a new layer. Repeat steps 2-3 to create the top of the box, again using a slightly different color. Place it using skew to fit against the top edges of the other shapes. Use the "Merge Function" under Layers to merge the layers.
