How to Unscrew a Bulb on a Ford Focus
Overtime the bulb in your Ford's headlight or taillight may burn out and need to be replaced. You can take your Ford Focus into a local mechanic and have them replace the bulb for you, but you will then have to pay labor fees and waste your valuable time getting your vehicle into the shop. You can replace the bulb yourself, however Ford's have a tricky bulb spring; in order to replace the bulb yourself, you must first remove the bulb correctly.

Allow your Ford Focus to cool for at least 20 minutes before beginning any work on the vehicle.

Open the hood or trunk of the vehicle, depending on if you are removing the taillight or headlight bulb.

Locate the screws that hold the light fixture in place. Remove the screws using the correct type of screwdriver. Gently pull the plastic case off to reveal the actual bulb.

Press down on the bulb gently and turn the bulb slightly to the left, the bulb will spring out of place. Remove the bulb from the socket.
