How to Install Bamboo Shades
Bamboo shades are a beautiful window treatment for any home décor, especially a tropical or Asian one. They give your home an exotic flair, come in a variety of different sizes and colors and are environmentally friendly, easy to clean and durable. In addition, they provide privacy and help insulate your windows to keep heat inside your home. Open the bamboo shade kit to expose all of the pieces.

Measure a half-inch from the edge of the window frame on each side and make a pencil mark.

Put the outside edge of the brackets on the pencil marks. With the screws provided, attach the brackets with a screwdriver or drill. Make sure that everything is level.

Center your bamboo shade over the window at the height you want. Mark the ends of the headrail with your pencil. Measure a half-inch in from the pencil marks you just made and make another set of pencil marks.

Put the outside edge of the brackets on the pencil marks. With the screws provided, attach the brackets with a drill or screwdriver. Make sure that everything is level.

Remove the wing nuts from the screws and insert the bamboo shade into the brackets. The screws should come through the mounting slot on the ends of the headrail. Reattach the wing nuts and tighten with your hands.

Cover the exposed ends of the headrail with the side returns provided.

Test your bamboo shade and make sure the cord works properly.
