How to Send a Letter of Congratulations to Two People
A project has been completed and you would like to send a letter of congratulations to the two people who are responsible for the work that has been done. You don't want to send two letters, because that sends a different message and it could cause consternation. Writing the same letter to two people does not have to be awkward or ill-advised. It can be smooth, meaningful and warm.

1
Address the salutation to both people. You most likely talked to one of them first and then the other. List them in that order. If you talked to them both at the same time, list them in alphabetical order.
-
2
Open your letter by telling them how pleased you are with the project completion. Explain what the success of this project will mean to the business.

3
Use the next paragraph to demonstrate your understanding of the problems and obstacles that the pair had to overcome in order to finish the job. This shows you had your hands around the job and that you are not paying lip service.
-
4
Write the next paragraph to the first name you have listed in the salutation. Talk about the job that person did. Take the next paragraph to congratulate the other individual and note the specifics of the job that he did.

5
Let the pair know that the company has taken notice of the excellent job that has been done and that financial compensation will be coming (if appropriate). Remember, we are talking about a letter of congratulations for a major project that was done well. This type of project usually comes with a financial reward attached to it. If that is not applicable, talk about how important the two people are to the business.
