How to Build a Leprechaun Trap for a School Project

Give your students the necessary supplies and help them build a leprechaun trap on or before St. Patrick's Day. They can decorate the boxes any way they like, but the more colorful the trap, the more attractive it will be to leprechauns. Set up the traps before leaving the classroom and have a staff member "spring" the traps by pulling on the string that props them up. Remove the cereal you need to attract the leprechauns and replace it with a plastic gold coins to show the leprechaun was there.

Place a handful of cereal under the box. Sugary cereal works best to lure leprechauns to the trap, according to education.com.
