      Cover the bottom of the pan with an inch or two of 3-percent hydrogen peroxide. This is the strength commonly sold for general household use.

      Place the pan on a stove burner over medium heat and bring the hydrogen peroxide to a boil. Boil it for several minutes.

      Use a wooden spoon to gently scrape any spots of burned sugar that remain.

      Turn off heat. Allow to cool slightly.

      Dispose the hydrogen peroxide and the remains of the burned sugar in the sink. Wash the pan as usual.
