How to Hang a Cell Phone Charm on a Cell Phone

A cell phone charm is an easy way to customize your cell phone without worrying about having to permanently alter the phone. These charms originated in Japan, and are now available in a variety of shapes and styles to accommodate any interests---from sports and ballet to cartoon characters. Once you choose a charm, you must ensure that it is securely attached to your phone so you don't lose it.

Instructions

1. Locate the slit in the phone that is used to accommodate a wrist or neck strap. This is usually found on one of the upper corners of the cell phone.

2. Slide the strap of the charm through the slit until the charm is touching the slit.

3. Slip the charm through the loop of the charm strap.

4. Pull the charm until the strap loop is pulled tight.

5. Repeat the process if you are attaching more than one charm to your cell phone.

Tips & Warnings

• If your phone doesn't have a wrist or neck strap slit, you can still attach a charm to the cell phone if you purchase a cell phone charm attachment button. These are available at most stores that sell cell phone charms.

• Don't attach a charm to the antenna of your cell phone. The charm can get caught on something and break the antenna, or the antenna can be weakened by having to support the charm. Additionally, if the charm has any metal on it, attaching it to your antenna may alter your cell phone reception.
