Instructions

Make sure the trailer is attached to a tow vehicle, and then park the combination on a flat, level surface. Pull out the ramps from the trailer and set them at the end of the trailer. Push or drive the Mustang up to the ramps, adjust the width between the ramps as necessary so that you make sure the Mustang can make it up the ramps without the tires falling off the sides.

    • 2

Roll the Mustang back and with the help of your assistants, get a running start and push the Mustang up the trailer. Make sure that one of you has a hand on the steering wheel to properly guide it up the ramps. If the Mustang can drive up, place an assistant at the end of the trailer by the tow vehicle, and have him guide you up the ramps. Once the Mustang has been moved to the front of the trailer, set the emergency brake and put the vehicle in gear.

Crawl under the front of the car and find a spot to attach to the tie down straps. This can be the lower control arms, the crossmember, or a tow hook, depending on the year and what's most accessible. Hook one end of the tie downs to the car, then hook the other end to the opposite corner on the front end. So if you connect a hook on the driver's side control arm, bring the other hook to the passenger side of the trailer. Ratchet down the strap and leave it slightly loose, with a little slack in the line. Repeat this process on the other side of the front of the car.

Crawl underneath the rear of the car and repeat the process in Step 3, but this time use the rear axle as your tie down point. Wrap the tie down strap around the axle shaft, hook it to itself, then cross the car and connect the strap to the trailer. Ratchet down both rear straps all the way until they're as tight as possible.

Tighten the front straps as tight as possible as well, then double-check all of your straps to make sure they're secure.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always check and recheck your straps before you take the vehicle on the road. Otherwise, you could damage the Mustang and everything else it's attached to.
