How to Customize Black Lincoln Navigators

Paint the truck a different color or have a customized paint job done. If you want to keep it black, you can have it repainted with pearl, metal flake or chameleon paint.

Change the upholstery in your Lincoln Navigator. You can choose designer fabrics or go with a different color leather. White leather is a popular choice for black Navigators; however, a darker color may be suitable if you have children or pets that ride in the truck often.

Add wood grain trim to the interior. This would replace the plastic around the stereo, on the doors, on the steering wheel and on the console.

Update the rims on the vehicle. Lincoln Navigators have 18-inch factory rims. In most cases, a Navigator can accommodate 20- or 22-inch rims without modification. Larger rims may require the truck to be lifted. You can opt for chrome rims with inserts that match your paint, if desired.

Replace exterior trim. If your Navigator came with silver trim, replace it with chrome trim. Or, you can choose gold trim instead of silver or chrome. Don't forget to change the door handles to match the new trim. The grille can also be customized.

Install a full entertainment center in your Navigator. Upgrade the sound system, have new speakers installed and have televisions installed in the back of the front seats and on the front visors. You can also have a gaming system installed.

Put chrome tips on your Navigator to complete your customization. You can also alter the exhaust system to change the way the vehicle sounds. For example, a mass flow exhaust system will make the Navigator louder.
