How to Recover Deleted Creative Zen Files

If you've downloaded Creative Zen files and accidentally delete or forget to save them, fear not. Luckily, there is a way to recover any type of deleted file; deleted items are never truly deleted, you just have to know where to find them.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the "Start" button at the lower left hand corner of the screen.

    • 2

Scroll to "All Programs" at the bottom of the start menu and click on it.

    • 3

Click on the "Accessories" folder within the programs.

    • 4

Scroll down to "Disk Cleanup" and click on it.

    • 5

Click on "My Files" if the option is given (older computers will take you directly to the "Disk Cleanup" screen).

    • 6

Click on the "(C:)" file from the drop down box (again, older computers will take you directly to the main screen).

    • 7

Click on "Downloaded Program Files" and "Temporary Internet Files" to add a check in their boxes. Click "View Files".

    • 8

Click on each folder that appears. The folders will contain file names (deleted or not). Once you find your files, double click to "restore" them. When finished, click "OK".

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the "Disk Cleanup" utility to gain storage space on your computer. The computer saves files and viewed Internet pages that take up space; using "Disk Cleanup", you can delete old files and web pages along with restoring files you still need.
