How to Un-Restrict My House Phone
If you have a restricted phone number, you probably signed up for the service when your phone line was activated. The common terms for number restriction are "unpublished," "private" or "blocked." If you want your number to be visible on the Caller ID of people you call, or if you want to call someone who has a block on restricted numbers, you need your phone number to be unrestricted. Permanently Unrestricted Phone

Call your phone company. The number should appear as "customer service" on your account statement.

Choose the options to speak with a representative.

Tell the representative that you wish to cancel your subscription to the private number service.
Single-Call Unblocking

Pick up your receiver, or hit "Talk" on a cordless phone, and wait until you hear the dial tone.

Press the * button, located under the "7" button. Press "8," and then "2."

Wait until the dial tone returns and dial the number of the person you are trying to call. Your phone number should now show up on the Caller ID when you call, but you will need to repeat these steps each time you make a call.
