There are many chewing tobacco alternatives that are out there and it can be easy to stop chewing tobacco with these alternatives. Some people believe that this isn't as harmful as cigarettes, however it will ruin your teeth and can cause other problems as well. Quitting chewing tobacco is the best thing you can do for your life right now.

      It isn't recommended to start today, so choose a date that you plan on quitting. It is a good idea to choose a date within two weeks so you have time to get other substitutes to feed your cravings.

      Talk to your friends and family that you plan to quit tobacco. I bet they will be supportive of your decision and even offer advice. It is also good to have someone to look out for you in case you want to start chewing again. They will most likely advice you against it.

      Find chewing tobacco alternatives such as gums. This will give you something to occupy your mouth with. If you get extreme cases of the need to chew, it is best to get something heavy duty for you. To stop chewing tobacco, you can use something called "Nicorette". A friend of mine started using it and it does wonders. It's a gum that delivers a small amount of tobacco when you chew on it so that way you don't have to quit all together and have a meltdown.
