How to Delete BlackBerry History

With the ability to communicate through email, texting or regular phone conversation, there isn't a whole lot the BlackBerry smartphone can't do. It even keeps extensive records of calls and chat history. However, if you want to start over with a clean slate and would like to delete the history in your BlackBerry's information bar, it's as simple as pressing a few buttons and shouldn't take up more than a moment of your time.

Instructions

  1. Deleting Call History

      Access the main menu on your BlackBerry, and go to "Applications."

      Open the "Messages" application, and press the "Menu" button.

      Click "View Folder," and then click "Phone Call Logs."

      Press the "Menu" button, and click "Delete Prior." The call history in your BlackBerry will be gone.

    Deleting Chat History

      Access the main menu on your BlackBerry, and open the Internet browser.

      Highlight a friend on your "Friend List" screen, and press the "Menu" key.

      Click "View History," and press the "Menu" key.

      Choose "Delete Contact's History" or "Delete Complete History" depending on how much history you would like to delete.
