Word document (DOC) is a text document format used by Microsoft Word. AutoCAD is a CAD (computer-aided design) software developed by Autodesk Inc. AutoCAD drawings contain numerous information other than the drawing itself and can be prepared in a Word document. Importing a Word document into an AutoCAD file can be done by inserting the document as an OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) object.
Launch AutoCAD and open the AutoCAD file you wish to insert the Word document.
Click the “Insert” menu and click OLE Objects. An “Insert Object” window will pop up.
Select “Microsoft Word Document” from the drop-down menu and then click the “Create From File” button. Select the document file you want to insert and check the “Link” box. Click “OK.”
