How to Delete Actions From Photoshop

The Actions Palette is one of the most useful tools in Photoshop for streamlining workflow. A good library of Photoshop actions is necessary to batch photo processing or get a particular effect on multiple images. Unfortunately, in the excitement of building such a library, it is easy to amass more actions than you'll ever use. In this case, you may have to go through your Actions Palette, weed through your actions and delete the ones that you want to get rid of.

Look in the Actions Palette and find the actions you want to delete. If you have a lot of actions, you may want to make the palette larger by clicking and dragging on the lower right corner of the palette. In the Action Palette, select the action or action folder that you want to delete.

Look along the bottom edge of the Action palette. There is a row of icons, and on the far right end of the row is a "trash can" icon. If your action is not selected, the icon will be grayed out and cannot be clicked. So, make sure your action is selected and hit the "trash can" icon to delete the action.
