How to Use Orbit on Firefox
The Orbit extension for Firefox is a versatile tool to control the downloading of many forms of Internet content. Download the Orbit extension from the official Orbit Downloader web site at www.orbitdownloader.com (see Resources below for link). The program is free and available to anyone. Orbit may be downloaded with any browser, not just Firefox.

Close all Internet browsers, including Firefox, before installing Orbit. Because Orbit integrates with browsers to add functionality to web sites, it must make some changes to the Firefox system files. Programs cannot be altered while they are open.

Double-click the downloaded file to install Orbit. Follow the on-screen instructions until installation is complete. Be sure the Firefox option is selected during the installation so it affects that browser. Additionally, Orbit may be installed to extend its functionality to other browsers, including Internet Explorer, Opera and Maxthon.

Launch Firefox. The program works behind the scenes whenever a download is initiated or other content, such as Flash programs, appear on a website.

Click a download link to open the Orbit download window. Choose the download location and type in a desired name for the file or keep the default name. Press "OK" to start the download.

Notice the gray arrow icon that appears above online video content on any video website. Click this icon to initiate download of the video presented on the webpage. Choose a download location and file name, and press "OK."

Orbit allows for a wide range of online content to be downloaded. However, some of this content may be copyright-protected. Never distribute downloaded video and music files without a clear indication from their author that this is permissible.
