How to Fix Firefox Extension Errors
Mozilla Firefox extensions are add-on programs that perform a variety of functions on your browser. They include applications such as toolbars, download managers and video player codecs. Extensions make your web browser more interactive and simpler to use. Occasionally, certain programs may damage extensions, which cause browser problems. A few simple troubleshooting problems can solve extension problems and optimize your web browser.

Reset your browsers settings. To do so, close your Firefox web browser. Click the "Start" menu and click "All Programs." Select the "Mozilla Firefox" folder and click "Firefox Safe Mode." Firefox Safe Mode enables you to reset your browsers settings if you are running into problems.

Click the "Reset All User Preferences" check-box and click "Make Changes and Restart" button. When the reset process completes, relaunch your web browser normally.

Disable or uninstall the browser add-ons (extensions) that are causing errors if you are still having problems. To do so, click the "Tools" menu on your browser and click "Add-ons." Click the "Extensions" button. Click the extension you want to disable. Click "Disable." To uninstall the extension, click "Uninstall." Restart your browser.

Download and reinstall a fresh copy of the extension from the website you originally installed it from. For example, if you uninstalled the Google toolbar extension, go to Google and reinstall a fresh, error-free copy.

Make sure that you are running the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. Download and install the latest version if you are running an older version.
