How to Find Unclaimed Property in Kansas
Unclaimed money, property and assets are sent to the Kansas Treasury Department every year. Go to the Kansas unclaimed money database by visiting Kansascash.com and clicking on the link at the top of the page that is labeled "Unclaimed Property." In the drop-down menu choose "Search for Property."

Type in the last name and first name or company name for which you may have Kansas unclaimed property. Click "Search for Properties" just below the name you put in. You will then see a warning to never pay money to access a claim.

Select "Put in Request Folder" or "Request Claim Forms" for any search results you may have a claim to.

Register on the site as a new site user by clicking on the "Register as a New User" section of the next page -- unless you have already saved a password.

Verify your account by clicking the link sent to your email address. You will be unable to continue with the Unclaimed Property Kansas website if your account is not verified.

Submit your claim for any property you have located in the above steps.

If you do not wish to register as a user of the Kansas Unclaimed Money database you may call the Department of Treasury to file a property claim at 785-296-4165 or 800-432-0386.
