Setting Up Your Voicemail

  • Enter the keys " * 86" on your Verizon wireless device. Press "Call."

  • Press the "#" key on your phone when you hear the Verizon greeting.

  • Set up your voicemail passcode when prompted. You will use this code to access your voicemail box.

  • Record your personalized greeting, if desired. Follow the prompt to record your personalized greeting. If you don't, callers will hear the default Verizon voicemail message.

  • To exit the voicemail system at any time, simply press "End" or the star key (*) on your phone.
  • You can access your Verizon voicemail from a phone other than your cell phone. To do this, dial your Verizon wireless number and wait for the voicemail system to pick up. Press the star key (*) and enter your Verizon passcode.
