How to Use Digiair Signal Strength Meter

Although cable and satellite television are found in a majority of homes in the United States, there is still a significant portion of the population that receives over-the-air television broadcasts. This method of receiving television signals requires an antenna, which is generally located on the roof of a home. Digiair signal strength meters are used to help homeowners adjust the antenna for the best television reception.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the antenna coaxial cable to the antenna jack on the Digiair.

    • 2

Press and hold the red "On/Menu" button on the Digiair to power on the device. The device will start in "Single Channel Mode."

    • 3

    • 4

Use the yellow "Up" and "Off/Down" buttons to highlight the mode you want to use. You can choose "Single Channel Mode," which shows the signal strength of one channel at a time, "Selected Ch's Mode," which shows the signal strength of up to six channels at once, or "Spectrum Mode," which shows a graph of all of the channels.

    • 5

Turn the antenna while viewing the Digiair display. The higher the value displayed on the screen, the stronger the channel signal.
